1. Scope of Application

• These Terms and Conditions apply to all guests booking and staying at Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Eco Lodge. They outline the rights and obligations of both the hotel and the guest. 
• Any matters not covered in this document shall be governed by applicable local laws.

2. Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in: 11:00 AM
• Check-out: 2:00 PM

• Late check-out until 5:00 PM (subject to availability) incurs an additional charge ($25 per person, including lunch); early check-in is subject to availability and incurs a charge of $25 per person, including lunch.

3. Dining and Meals at the Hacienda

• As a courtesy, we provide breakfast daily, for the comfort and convenience of our Hacienda's guests.  Lunch and Dinner are an additional cost and offered at competitive prices! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served only at specified meal-times, while guests are on the property. Meals can only be served on the Hacienda’s dining terrace.

       Breakfast begins at 7:30 AM and is

       served until 9:00 AM.

       Lunch begins at 12:00 PM and is

       served until 1:00 PM

       Dinner is served promptly at 7:00 PM.

       Our Kitchen is closed at 8:00 PM. 

       For safety reasons, NO FOOD IS ALLOWED in the Casitas or on the private Decks.  This mwould attract animal life into your rooms within minutes!

• Coffee and purified water are complimentary only during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including fruit juices and bottled water are not complimentary, but are available for purchase anytime between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM at JC’s Bar or on the dining terrace.

4. Pricing and Maximum Occupancy for Accommodations

• Prices listed for the accommodations are double occupancy. Hacienda Puerta del Cielo’s Five Private Casitas have a maximum occupancy of two people (plus 1 child, if required in a single bed) in King size beds. We also have two Guestrooms for a maximum of two people on Queen size beds. Our two bedroom Family Suite is equipped to accommodate families in one Queen size bed (in a private room) and two twin beds in the secondary bedroom for a maximum of 4 people traveling together. We could accommodate additional beds in the Casitas if needed (please inquire). 

5. Payment

• Prices include applicable taxes.
• Payment must be made in full before check-in (unless otherwise agreed).
• A non-refundable credit card deposit equivalent to 30% of the total is required to secure the reservation.
• The remaining 70% balance must be paid in full, seven (7) days before the check-in date.
• All discounted, promotional and sale priced reservations are 100% non-refundable and payment is due in full upon reservation.

6. Cancellations and Changes

• Cancellation policy: Cancellations within seven (7) days prior to arrival would be charged 100% of the reservation amount
• Changes to the reservation may incur an additional charge; prior notice is required.
• In the event of an emergency, we would be able to issue a three (3) months credit voucher which you may apply to the future cost of your re-scheduled reservation at Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Eco Lodge.
  

7. Guest Responsibilities

• Guests must comply with all hotel rules and local laws.
• Smoking is prohibited (permitted only in designated areas); pets are allowed only with prior written consent and upon payment of a fee.
• Guests are responsible for their actions and for any damage caused to the property.

8. Alcohol Policy

• The good news? We have a bar! This means that, by law, we cannot allow outside alcohol to be brought onto the property.

      To comply with this regulation, we require that all beverages consumed on the property—including the pool area—be purchased through the hotel,

      with the sole exception of clear water bottles.

9. Minimum Age Policy

• All guests must be 21 years of age or older to confirm an accommodation reservation at Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Ecolodge. A valid official photo ID must be presented at check-in to verify age.

10. Services and Amenities not included in the price of Accommodations

• Lunches and Dinners, Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including bottled water); Airfare, Airport fees, Airport Transfers and Baggage Fees; Nicaraguan Government Taxes (15% sales tax); Spa Services, Transportation Services, Bar Services and Gratuities for the Hacienda Staff are not included.

11. Group Pricing for Excursions

• Prices listed for tours and activities are per person. The per person price may vary according to the total number of persons on tour, see price breakdowns under Tours & Activities.  Excursions are conducted in groups, must be reserved in advance and are subject to availability. Only one Tour is available per day, the first guest to reserve, determines which Tour will be scheduled on that particular day. To avoid disappointment and secure all of your desired excursions, please contact us at info@haciendapuertadelcielo.com to reserve your tours or activities, as soon as possible.

12. Liability

• The hotel is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
• Guests assume responsibility for their own safety and belongings.

13. Governing Law and Disputes. These terms are governed by the laws of

     Nicaragua.

14. Smoking is prohibited inside the Casitas or on the terraces (decks). Smoking is permitted only in the Casa Hacienda Lounge or in the parking areas.  Violators are subject to a cleaning fee of $100 USD.

15. Housekeeping services will not be provided. If you need clean towels or bed linens, please contact the front desk.

16. Changes to the Terms: The hotel may update these terms upon reasonable notice. Continued use of the facilities following the implementation of such changes constitutes acceptance thereof.
