OUR HOTEL POLICIES

HACIENDA PUERTA DEL CIELO’S RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR REGULAR PRICED RESERVATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:  A non-refundable 20% deposit is required upon reservation. The remaining 80% balance must be paid in full, fifteen (15) days before the check-in date. If you cancel within fourteen (14) days of your arrival date,  100% of the paid amount would be non-refundable.  In the event of an emergency, we would be able to issue a six (6) month credit voucher which you may apply to the future cost of your re-scheduled reservation at Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Eco-Spa.  Rescheduling requires advance reservation and would be subject to availability.  PLEASE NOTE:  All discounted, promotional and sale priced reservations are 100% non-refundable and payment is due in full upon reservation.

AGE REQUIREMENTS AND OUR RIGHT OF REFUSAL:  Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Ecolodge and Spa is an adults-only boutique resort.  We do not allow children under the age of 16 on the property at any time.  We are a private resort which is not open to the public.  All hotel services, facilities and amenities are for the exclusive use of the owners and registered guests of Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Ecolodge and Spa.  WE STAND AGAINST THE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN:  All guests must be at least 21 years of age in order to check-in to Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Ecolodge, unless traveling with a parent.  Proper ID, (passport or valid driver’s license), must be presented by every guest at check-in.  The owners, management and employees of Hacienda Puerta del Cielo reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone we feel is involved in solicitation or sexual exploitation.

HACIENDA PUERTA DEL CIELO HAS A FULLY-STOCKED LIQUOR BAR AND EACH CASITA IS EQUIPPED WITH ITS OWN MINI BAR.  PLEASE NOTE THAT OUTSIDE LIQUOR IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE HACIENDA.

COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER:  As a courtesy, we provide three complimentary meals daily, for the comfort and convenience of our hotel guests only.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served only at specified meal-times, while guests are on the property.  Meals can only be served on the Hacienda’s dining terrace.  Breakfast begins at 7:30 AM and is served until 9:00 AM; Lunch begins at 12:00 PM and is served until 1:00 PM; Dinner is served promptly at 7:00 PM.  Our Kitchen is closed at 8:00 PM.  Please note that meals cannot be provided outside of the above specified meal times.  
To-Go or boxed lunches are not available.  Guests must purchase their own meals while away from the Hacienda.  Coffee, tea and purified water are complimentary only during breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including fruit juices and bottled water are not complimentary, but are available for purchase anytime between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM at JC’s Bar or on the dining terrace.   Please note that Nicaraguan Passport Control, Customs & Security Inspection take about 1 hour to complete at the airport.  If your flight arrives at Managua International Airport after 5:45 PM, you will not arrive at the Hacienda in time for dinner, which is served at 7:00 PM.  Please be sure to have a substantial meal on the plane or before departure, as our kitchen closes at 8:00 PM and the Kitchen Staff will have retired for a much deserved rest by the time you arrive.

FOR SAFETY REASONS, NO SMOKING OR FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE CASITAS OR ON PRIVATE DECKS.  Please remember that we are located on the edge of a 54km² Protected National Forest and Wildlife Refuge.

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF ACCOMMODATIONS:  Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including bottled water); Airfare, Airport fees, Airport Transfers and Baggage Fees; Nicaraguan Government Taxes (15% sales tax and 2% Tourist Tax); Spa Services, Transportation Services, Bar Services and Gratuities for the Hacienda Staff are not included.

PRICING AND MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY FOR ACCOMMODATIONS:  Prices listed for the accommodations are double occupancy.  Hacienda Puerta del Cielo’s six Private Casitas have a maximum occupancy of two persons.  All Private Casitas are equipped with one king-size bed, we cannot accommodate additional beds in the Casitas.  Casa Maya, our two-room “Family Suite” is the only accommodation which can accept up to four persons.  Casa Maya is equipped with one queen-size bed and two twin-size beds.

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF TOURS AND ACTIVITIES:  Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including bottled water); meals or snacks; Nicaraguan Government Taxes (15% sales tax); Additional activity fees or additional transportation not part of our guided tour or organized activity; and Gratuities for the Hacienda Staff are not included.

GROUP PRICING FOR EXCURSIONS:  Prices listed for tours and activities are per person.  The per person price may vary according to the total number of persons on tour, see price breakdowns under Tours and Activities.  Excursions are conducted in groups, must be reserved in advance and are subject to availability.  Only one Guided Tour is available per day, the first guest to reserve, determines which Guided Tour will be scheduled on that particular day.  To avoid disappointment and secure all of your desired excursions, please contact Linda at info@haciendapuertadelcielo.com to reserve your tours or activities, as soon as possible.
