AGE REQUIREMENTS & OUR RIGHT OF REFUSAL: Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Ecolodge is an adults only boutique resort. We do not allow children under the age of 16 on the property at any time. We are a private resort which is not open to the public. All hotel services, facilities & amenities are for the exclusive use of the owners & registered guests of Hacienda Puerta del Cielo.
WE STAND AGAINST THE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN & CHILDREN: All guests must be at least 21 years of age in order to check-in to Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Ecolodge, unless traveling with parents. Proper ID, (passport or valid driver’s license), must be presented by every guest at check-in. SMOKING & EATING ARE NOT ALLOWED IN BEDROOMS OR ON PRIVATE DECKS! We are located on the rim of a Protected National Forest & Wildlife Refuge. Discarded cigarettes could ignite the entire forest floor. Smoking areas are provided on upper terraces. Food, snacks, candy, milk & sugar will summon unwanted visitors into your room, deck & pool area! Food is only allowed on our elevated dining terrace.
COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER: As a courtesy, we provide complimentary home-style meals, for the comfort & convenience of our hotel guests only. Breakfast, lunch & dinner are served only at specified meal-times, while guests are on the property. Meals can only be served on the Hacienda’s dining terrace. Breakfast begins at 7:30 AM & is served until 9:00 AM; Lunch is served at 12:00 noon; Dinner is served promptly at 7:00 PM. Our Kitchen is closed at 8:00 PM. As we do not operate a restaurant & our employees are otherwise occupied between meal times, meals cannot be provided outside of the above specified meal times. To-Go or boxed lunches are not available. Guests must purchase their own meals while away from the Hacienda. Coffee, tea & purified water are complimentary only during breakfast, lunch & dinner. Alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, including fruit juices & bottled water are not complimentary, but are available for purchase anytime between 7:00 AM & 10:00 PM at JC’s Bar or on the dining terrace. If your flight arrives at Managua International Airport after 5:45 PM, you will not arrive at the Hacienda in time for dinner. Please be sure to have a substantial meal on the plane or before departure, as our kitchen closes at 8:00 PM & the Kitchen Staff will have retired by the time you arrive.
SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF ACCOMMODATIONS: Beverages (alcoholic & non-alcoholic, including bottled water); Airfare, Airport fees, Airport Transfers & Baggage Fees; Nicaraguan Government Taxes (15% sales tax & 2% Tourist Tax); Spa Services, Transportation Services, Bar Services & Gratuities for the Hacienda Staff are not included.
PRICING & MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY FOR ACCOMMODATIONS: Prices listed for the accommodations are double occupancy. Hacienda Puerta del Cielo’s 6 spacious Private Casitas have a maximum occupancy of 2 persons. Private Casitas are equipped with 1 king-size bed & a large ensuite bathroom. We cannot accommodate additional beds in any room. Our “Family Suite” consists of 2 small adjacent rooms: 1st room has 1 queen bed; 2nd room has 2 twin beds; both rooms share 1 small bathroom & an A/C unit located inside the queen bedroom. This Family Suite is recommended for 3 persons, (we will accept a family of 4 who would be willing to share the small space & small bathroom).
EARLY CHECK-IN OR LATE CHECK-OUT SERVICES: Check-In time is 2:00 PM & Check-Out time is 11:00 AM. We offer Early Check-In or Late Check-Out services for an additional fee. Early check-in (arrival between 9 AM and 2 PM) or Late check-out (departure between 11 AM and 4 PM); is based on availability, as arriving guests may be scheduled to check into your room on your check-out day. The early check-in fee is US$25.00 plus tax per person. The late check-out fee is an additional US$25.00 plus tax per person. A complimentary lunch at 12:00 noon, could be provided with early or late check-out services. Late-night, pre-dawn and early morning arrivals from red-eye flights require booking an additional night.

GROUP PRICING FOR EXCURSIONS: Prices listed for tours & activities are per person. The per person price may vary according to the total number of persons on tour, see price breakdowns under Tours & Activities. Excursions are conducted in groups, must be reserved in advance & are subject to availability. Only 1 Guided Tour is available per day; the first guest to reserve determines which Guided Tour will be scheduled on that particular day.
